 A great deal of our work comes from personal recommendations; the only sure way to find a good instructor - please call in to our office if you would like to see some examples of the many cards and letters our instructors receive regularly (a small sample are published below). We are happy to give advice on any aspect of training or any special circumstances you may have so please contact us with out obligation.

We are a true family run company, Pete Hodgson our Chief Instructor is responsible for :
Instructor Training (both car and motorcycle instructors)
CBT, Direct Access, Restricted Access & Advanced Motorcycle & Car Courses.  Pete presents seminars for the Humberside Police in partnership with the four local authorities as part of the Speed Aware initiative. Motorcycle National Driver Improvement Scheme trainer and is a DSA registered Fleet Trainer.  (For a full list of his qualifications see his instructor profile). 

Marion Hodgson takes care of all things clerical and is your first contact by phone or email.

Just like to thank you and Pete for the brilliant training you provided.  It was hard work but the rewards of getting on the road on my bike are unbelievable.  Pete provided brilliant training and needs a medal for all the hard work and understanding it must have taken to get me through my direct access course...Thanks again for the great training ... ...I'd like to say thank you, to both yourself for your help and encouragement and the extremely professional way everything was dealt with and Pete for his endless patience with me (I'm now a U-turn Queen...almost!)  As you know I've had experience with a couple of other schools but Ideal is definately the one i'll recommend to anyone who cares to listen;o)  Not to make Pete bigger headed , but his teaching was fantastic, I ended up totally at ease with everything! Even when I made mistakes, I didn't feel phased which is saying something after my huge initial set back with ***** and never feeling like i'd ever go near a bike again let alone pass my Direct Access! Hi Everyone,

I'd just like to say a big thank you to Steve, Pete and everyone else at Ideal for getting me through my DAS. From never having ridden a bike before to a full licence in just four days (it would have been three and a half but for one stupid mistake on my first test) is a real achievement for me and a testament to Steve's ability as an instructor. I'm absolutely over the moon and can't wait to go bike shopping. I'll drop by and show you my wheels as soon as I've got them! Thanks again to everyone involved.

Thank you soooo much for helping me get through my bike test. I had a fantastic week, a struggle at times, but I really enjoyed it. And you deserve a medal Pete! I can be such hard work at times!!
